Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is an upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy film starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz. The film will be produced by Ramesh Taurani of Tips Music Films and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, who earlier directed films such as Ghayal (1990), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Khakee (2004) and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009). The film will go on floors in November 2012 and will be released on 23 August 2013
The film was expected to begin filming in November 2012, after Kapoor completes Maneesh Sharma's next for Yash Raj Films but now the actor have opted out of the Maneesh Sharma's movie because of other commitments. It is expected to be released during the middle of 2013.
